Special Report From The Desk Of Mike Muccci

Saturday, 10:45 AM
RE:  Golf Tournament Planning Strategies Revealed...For YOU!

Dear Friend in Golf,

Why are golf events bad investments?

Currently there are over 1.5 million golf tournaments operated annually in the United States and the profits for those events average around ($6K) six thousand dollars.  Considering a tournament director needs to allow at least 6-9 months to properly plan -- the return on investment calculated in time, money and used resources is extremely low.

It does not have to be that way and there is an easy solution.

You may be tempted to argue or reject what I say in this report.  That certainly is your prerogative. Some, maybe a lot of what you are about to read will contradict and challenge what you've been told, taught or conditioned to believe, industry norms and practices, and most of all what you observe other tournament directors doing.

I will only take the time to tell you this:

Every item of advice I dispense here is experienced-based, experience-tested and experience-proven.  I value my time highly, so I value YOURS highly too - I will not waste it by
regurgitating textbook pabulum or worse, bandying about theories.

In fact, I'm not all that interested in why a particular tournament planning strategy works - or doesn't - only that it does, with consistency, profitably, so we can easily repeat the basic that do and avoid those that don't.  When tournament directors make giant leaps in their bottom line from one year to the next, no one asks if I know WHY our system worked that made the money.

There Are
3 Big Building Blocks:

1.  A true understanding that those who DELEGATE win!

2.  Sponsors are a thing of the past, you'll need to know how to "PARTNER" to profit!

3.   Marketing will "DIFFERENTIATE" your event from the competition.

FOR EXAMPLE: DEMONSTRATING A REAL "RETURN ON INVESTMENT" (ROI) FOR YOUR PARTNERS AND MARKETING THEIR EXCLUSIVE MESSAGE MONTHLY

Most tournament directors are "satisfied" with a hole sponsorship.  They basically enlarge the donators business card, put in on a pole and stick it in the ground .  They do the same thing their competition does.  The relationship between sponsor and tournament has peeked.  You've just added "financial stagnation" to your tournament.

The Key Elements Of A True Tournament "Partnership" Are:

===>  Meaningful Specifics Demonstrating ROI, Not Vague Generalities
===>  Those Who Bring Qualified Customers To The Table Have The "Leverage".
===>  An Extra Reason For The Partner To Choose Your Event Versus All Other Options

When I teach these, and other elements of "partnerships" tournament directors who "get it" change the way they promote their golf event with their prospective partners immediately.  They easily exceed the average profits tournaments are producing.

The BIG profit in every golf tournament comes directly from "partnerships".

If you can't delegate you won't win.

Most tournament directors own a "take charge" personality.  That is a good thing, however if you can't select and surround yourself with talented people you won't have much success.  You'll eventually "burn out", start taking short cuts and soon just go through the motions.

Delegation is very important.  Not only selecting a great committee, but giving them the flexibility to work within the parameters you provide them.

Marketing your golf event correctly will give you the "real edge" you need to succeed.

Most tournament directors don't really understand the importance of marketing.  When I say marketing I don't mean advertising.  There are many zero cost strategies you can easily learn to "differentiate" your tournament from your competition.

The dividends will be SUBSTANTIAL.

Anything and everything that has to do with traditional golf tournaments for fundraising purposes is a lousy investment, compared to what you can achieve by utilizing our Golf Tournament Planning eToolkit & Professional Service Support System.

For starters, here's what to do immediately:

Do NOT spend your time or money on ANY tournament planning services or material that cannot provide easy implementation, complimented by the access to professional personal services and on-going support from experts.  No exceptions, no excuses.

You'll need more than a manual to have success.  Our eToolkit provides real "horse power" for your golf event.  Together, the eToolkit complimented with professional guidance and access to on-going support makes this program a real solution for many tournament planners.

Mike, we are now really looking at our costs in an entirely new way.  We have found we were offering benefits to some of our sponsors that exceeded what we were asking for sponsorship fees. Thanks again.  I look forward to our continued working relationship through this year's event.  Ron L. Molen, CAE, CFRE Director Development, The Ohio Masonic Home, Springfield, Ohio

RE:  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Introduction

I just got off the phone with one of my clients I consult and assist with who is promoting a new, regional golf tournament concept for Charity organizations.  In our discussion, I stopped him from making a terrible mistake with the tournaments Unique Selling Proposition that would have cut the sales of his tournament promotion in half - it was a violation of one of the most important tournament marketing principles.  I created a USP that would enhance the promotion of his tournament, not diminish it.

Why do I tell you that?  To brag?  No, that's not necessary; you've already come as a respected gracious visitor to our site.  And I have no burning desire to be a know-it-all.  In fact, I grow more reclusive with each passing year.

I tell you that because this tournament director and promoter is a visionary with many successful golf tournaments under his belt, and he has had the help of a number of other sharp people in putting together his business plan for this project, before getting to me.

Still, he and his team had all missed this fallacy of their marketing plan.  Not because they did not know enough to spot it; I know for a fact they did.  Not because they chose to ignore it.  Only because nobody, no matter how smart they are, can think of everything, every time, without a checklist.

People leave the keys in their vehicle ignitions at ball games and concerts because they are overly excited when they get to the venue.  Surgeons leave utensils inside people on the operating table.  Many times I've been so preoccupied with marketing ideas for my clients that, when I went to pick up my wife at the shopping mall I went to the wrong store, got frustrated, started to walk to find her, leaving my car in running.

In this 52 week course, I've done my level best to build the very best Membership site dedicated solely to golf tournament marketing.  My idea is that each and every individual who has the courage and drive to promote a community golf tournament to raise funds for any worthy cause; each and every time you're about to sink your own time and energy, you'll follow the marketing lessons learned here cover-to-cover, one Principle and Strategy after the next; following and implementing each technique to make sure your golf tournament earns the maximum profit and creates the needed momentum to compete and sustain the annual market share necessary for profitability.

The plain truth is I created this Membership Site and marketing course for myself.  Then, having put so much thought and work into it, I couldn't get any rest until I figured out how to present and package it for easy use and more importantly measurable results.  It is a troubling fact to know I teach golf tournament planning and the average profit for over 1 million annual United States tournaments is a measly $6 thousand dollars.  Not a lot to show for with all the work and preparation that goes into creating a community golf tournament.  Many, many community tournaments fail to even make $1,000.

But now that I've done it, I'm very pleased with it.  When enrolling, you've got a knowledgeable, properly critical consultant on stand-by, teaching you, interacting with you, looking over your shoulder to make sure you take out the forceps and shut off the ignition.  This will keep you from underachieving and maximizing your talents and abilities as a tournament promoter, if you apply the lessons.  I hope you will.

Let's learn more about what is available to you.

Dear Friend in Golf,

Promoting and marketing your own community golf event is perhaps THE best fundraising model ever. Just think about the profound ultimate benefit -

You learn the value of delegating, experience the reward of bringing people together in your community to raise funds for a worthy cause and learn how to PARTNER with Sponsors to create new relationships. ANYONE can easily or double or triple the profits of their community
golf event for their designated beneficiary.

A past student got these results in his very first year -

"The first year we raised more than $32,000.00 and last year more than $60,000.00."

" What we had to do was create from nothing a charity golf tournament for Evangel Hall, a downtown mission for the most disadvantaged men and women in Toronto.  The first year we raised more than $32,000.00 and last year more than $60,000.00. I'm told that puts us in the top 10 golf tournaments in Toronto as far as fund raising is concerned. Thank you for your help from all of us, and especially from the men and women who use the services of Evangel Hall."

That's $60K coming in just their second year ... with no prior experience.

Sidebar: This isn't an unrealistic number ... one of my Inner Circle members recently wrote,
"our tournament brought in $60,000 at Mill Creek Country Club, and I used many or your suggestions. Already planning the next year’s tournament at another club near Seattle . "
If that doesn't get your attention, then it's time for a jolt of Rockstar high energy drink ... cuz you need to wake up!

The profitable income that you receive year after year from a professionally organized and marketed community golf event is at the heart of why so many people are "scrambling" to start their tournaments.

Unfortunately, the emphasis is on STARTING ... with very few FINISHING.

Why is that?

I'll let you in on a little secret that hardly no one "in the know" is talking about...

Starting and running a successful community golf event the "traditional" way is to DIFFICULT!

There, I said it. It's the truth and anyone who has a successful community event knows that it is the truth. It's not an easy thing to start, let alone keep promoting for an indefinite amount of time.

And I should know.

I've personally been involved with hundreds of golf tournaments at the public and private club levels and
NOPGA Section level including the LPGA and Senior Tour and maintained one of the most popular "golf tournament planning consulting web sites" of all time for ten years: All About Golf Tournament Planning.

When I tell you that it's hard work, I'm speaking from experience.

Let me explain why it's so tough (and then, I'll show you how to SUPER-simplify things)...

5 Reasons Why Planning And Operating A
Traditional Community Golf Event Is A Bad Idea

(What?!!  Did He Really Say That?!!)

1.

Traditional community golf tournaments require too much work setting up. One of the biggest reasons why people don't have success with community golf tournaments in the first place is because there is a lot of work that goes into the planning and promotion. Committee members make promises, but most all want to be led, not lead.  When you factor in writing a complete Action Plan to address the tournament goal, committee member selection and their required duties, sponsorship potential, players, volunteers and budget, it's just too time-consuming and overwhelming for the average tournament planner to ever get in place.

2. Traditional community golf tournaments do not know how to or the value in differentiating their event from the competition:  It is so easy to burn out by running a community golf tournament that doesn't generate adequate profit for time committed.  You think going in that you'll call a few close friends, maybe a person or two who plays golf call and decide you are going to have golf tournament as a needed fundraiser for the local Little League or Traveling Dance Team.  As one of the most creative and prolific, long time fundraisers you'll ever run across, let me tell you that I myself faced this problem early in my career. Almost everyone does.

And, even if you are supernatural and can continue directing a community golf event for years and years, the demands of updating and keeping your event appealing and growing requires discipline that most of us just don't possess.  I can tell you if two community golf tournaments are alike, one of them is not needed.  A real genuine reason why most community golf tournaments barely break even.  For those of you who think the average $6K profit for a golf tournament which takes 9-12 months to plan and execute is a lot of money are fooling themselves.  You'd be better off selling raffle tickets.
3. Traditional community golf tournaments organizers do not understand their most important contribution is to delegate and market, not be a worker bee.  When promoting a golf tournament, you have to manage all facets of the tournament for a 12 months including committee members, players, volunteers, sponsorship sales, logistics, budgets, action plan and marketing.  This requires a professional approach.  Actually, it is much easier to promote a community golf tournament today than it was 10-15-20 years ago if you know how to recognize, manage and utilize all of the zero cost marketing strategies available to you.  On the downside, it takes sophistication to earn profits and set your tournament apart from the competition to win the community market share needed to begin, sustain and grow your event.  Those that promote and market ... WIN.  Those that don't are just another statistic.
4. Traditional community golf tournaments demand a large investment of time. You have sponsors / partners to insure return on investment, build strong, reliable tournament committees, manage those committees, so they feel special and more importantly productive.  Players and volunteers also need to feel as if they are your events most valuable asset because they are.  Where would any tournament be without them?   The truth is, a traditional community fundraising golf event requires a large investment of time, expertise, people skills. Now, if this is the ONLY part of your tournament directing you need to know, you might pull it off. But, believe me, it will leave the average tournament director with virtually no time for the marketing needed to get your event the maximum profits it deserves.  With the information age upon us and new technologies everyone's way of doing business has changed ... community golf events are no exception.
5. Traditional community golf tournaments include a continuing battle to keep players, volunteers and sponsors.  Here's a something most tournament directors don't recognize.  The real profit from any community golf tournament comes from the sponsors / partner contributions.  Most community tournaments are sending volunteers around to the local businesses, who are having a hard time making ends meet trying to sell sponsorships like they did with High School year book ads 10 years ago.  It simply doesn't happen that way. With more and more people banging on doors for "financial hand outs" the local businessman just can't wait to hide when he sees you coming.  Today, sponsors / partners are looking for return on investment.  Factor in indifference, a lack of properly marketing your event year round, stale tournament day and beyond presentations; players, volunteers and sponsors are off your event and on to the next best thing.  The competition for dollars within communities for golf events is fierce.  Only the strong thrive and survive.

So, if "traditional" community golf tournaments aren't the answer, what is? I'm glad you asked...

Skills To "Market" A Highly Successful Community
Golf Tournament Made Easy

There is a much easier, more effective --- just as profitable!! --- way to start and market your community golf tournament that *will* be the "next big thing" because of its results. I call this kind of tournament a "Action
Plan Marketing
.   Let me quickly explain what it is...

Definition: "Action Plan Marketing for Golf Tournaments

An "Action Plan Marketing for Golf Tournaments" (APMPGT) consists of weekly written coaching sessions delivered via autoresponder to paid members for a specified period of time.  Actions Plans provide discipline and can be used for every facet and assignment of your golf event.

In a nutshell, here's what you'd do in promoting a community golf tournament with this building block approach.

1. Develop an Action Plan for all marketing phases of your golf event that will improve
productivity and results.  You'll learn and rely on the 5 parts of your tournament AP.
2. Learn that investing in using Action Plans will make a difference in how you invest your
time as well as what and how much you can accomplish.
3. A true understanding that those who DELEGATE & MARKET win!
4. Sponsors are a thing of the past, you'll need to know how to "PARTNER" to profit!
5. Promoting with many "zero cost" marketing strategies will "DIFFERENTIATE" your
event from the competition in your community
and not chew up your events bottom
    line with added expenses.

It's that simple.

And the benefits are the exact opposite of the barriers for traditional community golf tournaments...

1.

The BIG Profit In Any Golf Tournament Comes Directly From "Partnerships".

2.

If you can't delegate you won't win.

Most tournament directors own a "take charge" personality.  That is a good thing, however if you can't select and surround yourself with talented people you won't have much success.  You'll eventually "burn out", start taking short cuts and soon just go through the motions.  Finding good committee members is difficult, you will learn easy ways to do this insuring a strong foundation.

Learning the correct ways to delegate is vital.  Not only selecting a great committee, but giving them the flexibility to work within the parameters you provide them and the best ways to motivate them and keep them motivated.

3.

Anything and everything that has to do with traditional golf tournaments for fundraising purposes is a lousy investment, compared to what you can achieve by utilizing our Golf Tournament Marketing Membership Site and its support system.

Let's look at a quick example of what an "Action Plan" might look like...(do I need this Mike????)

Mike, what are the components of an Action Plan?

Golf Tournament Action Plans have five components.  Tournament Situation, Fundraising Objectives, Strategies for logistics and marketing, Action (what needs to occur) and Measurement for progress and accomplishments specific to your event.

You will create an overall 12-month Tournament Action Plan and create other Action Plans for each task and assignment.  Reporting mechanisms will be built in, easy to follow and everyone will be accountable.  The results?  You'll cover more highway quickly and with less road bumps and most of all with accurate and measurable results.

The beauty of this particular planning tool is that everyone will be on the same page and results will be easy to attain.  You will learn how to create an effective Action Plan and learn proven strategies for each segment of golf tournament planning.

I literally could go on and on - there are thousands of possibilities.

In fact, you could create a membership site around just about any topic imaginable! (In week #2 I'll actually give you plenty of ideas to choose from.)

So, I've pretty much told you the idea here ... but, obviously, there is a RIGHT way to do things and a WRONG way to do things.

While the process is very simple and you could get started right now on your own, wouldn't you rather learn some amazing methods of turning this idea into a thriving money-maker for you?

I thought so.

That's why I'm going to ask you a simple question ...

One 2-5 Page Weekly Lesson For 52 Weeks
In Downloadable .PDF Format

Every lesson is strategically created in such a way that you'll see results with the program...

1

Short And Easy To Digest
Each lesson is only 2-5 pages in length and contains nothing but "meat". There is a very real problem these days with "information overload" where the reader simply has too much information to absorb. Each lesson is purposefully brief (but thorough!) so you can quickly read it and put it into practice.

2

Includes An Assignment To Complete
Every weekly lesson will give you an assignment to complete at the close of the information. Instead of giving you the usual "this is what I've done" stuff, I'm giving you "this is what you do" stuff!  Each week you'll have some easy-to-implement action step to complete before moving on.

3

Builds As You Go
Every lesson builds as your membership does. Early on we'll discuss some basics to quickly establish your tournament Action Plan. From there, we'll move into intermediate and then advanced tactics for multiplying and maximizing your tournament's presence. Beginners won't get lost from the start and veterans won't get bored as I'll throw in some golden nuggets along the way for our experienced crowd.

4

Forces You To Succeed Long-Term & Exceed The National Profit Average As Calculated By The National Golf Foundation
While most ebooks and traditional membership sites (and even some high-priced coaching programs) pile on a bunch of information and leave you to put it all together for yourself, that isn't how things are setup in this training program. By giving you information in bite-sized portions for a full year (52 weeks!) you'll be more likely to actually do something with the content ... and you'll be more likely to see real results for yourself.

5
Helps You Make Real Progress With Your Community Golf Event
When you look back after each month, you'll actually be able to see progress by putting these lessons into practice. Exactly when you need to take certain steps you'll take them.

Each weekly lesson is designed to be "to the point" and immediately actionable.

The first lesson is coming your way immediately upon completing your order. Included in your first lesson...

No More Paying Thousands Of Dollars ...
Even If It Is In "4 Easy Payments"!

I've been making a full-time living online since 2000. That's a long, long time in internet years. And I know how things work. I could easily do what some of my contemporaries have done and make this some kind of high-ticket coaching program that sells for $1,997.00.

And, in doing so, I'd make a lot of money. But, many good people wouldn't be able to take advantage of the offer simply because it wouldn't be in their budget.

Listen, I know. I know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck. I know what it's like to be deep in credit card debt. I know what it's like to sink more and more money into empty promises. I know what it's like to be suckered into buying a high-priced item on an "easy" installment plan. I've been there and I know. Trust me, I know.

It is for that reason that I am not going to charge the thousands of dollars that I could charge for this program. Instead, I'm going to make it a no-brainer, and I'm going to make it downright affordable for every budget.

The price for a subscription to the XXXXXXe™ program is just $27 per month. While the program is 12 months in length, you can cancel anytime you choose. If you're not seeing results, then it doesn't cost you anything.

"Mike, that's a bargain ... seriously ... what's the catch?"

We both know that the $27 is a drop in the bucket. So, in keeping your guard up with a "suspicious mind" you'd have to ask the question, right? Well, truthfully, there is a catch...

Only 1,000 (And Shrinking Fast) Members
Will Be Accepted Into Golf Tournament Marketing ... All Access™!

I have placed a cap on the Golf Tournament Marketing ... All Access program at 1,000 members. Once these initial memberships have been sold (and this will not take long) I will close the doors and no more memberships will be available.  Keep in mind there are more than 1.5 million golf tournaments annually.
We can't help everyone all at once, so don't be left behind.

You need to understand something about this -

I don't play marketing games.

This isn't some ploy. Ask around. I do what I say I'm going to do. When I started my personal coaching service, I said we'd cap it at 50 members and we did.   When I said only 50 coaching clients would get in, that's all that got in. .

I don't play marketing games.

Over the years many, many people have missed out on my offers and have kicked themselves for not taking action when they had the chance. I could show you email after email. So, don't think I'm bluffing here. I'm not.

Sidebar: Last year we sold out 25 memberships to Inner Circle coaching in just a few days. The memberships here will sell out very quickly ... don't think this will be available for a long time, because frankly it won't.

If you want to join, the time to do it is right now before the big "SOLD OUT" sign goes up in the box below.

Your Money Will Be Returned By Clickbank At
The Click Of A Mouse Button If You're Unhappy

Guarantee

Listen, here's the thing: I sell these memberships through Clickbank, which means I play by their rules. And their rules state that I've got to offer you an 8-week, money back guarantee. I'm fine with that. I stand behind my materials completely and know you'll be completely thrilled with the content and, more importantly, the results.
